ADMISSION PROCESS FOR PRE-SCHOOL 2017-2018

DRAW OF LOTS FOR THE GENERAL CATEGORY APPLICANTS AT 45 POINTS
TO BE HELD ON 01 MARCH 2017

Further to the verification process for general category candidates held on Saturday, 25 Feb 2017 for applicants with a score of 50 points and above, 57 applicants have been shortlisted for admission and there are 43 seats available under General Category  out of total 100 seats under general category.

There are 352 applicants with 45 points under general category (list attached). Draw of lots will be carried out for all these 352 applicants to fill the available 43 seats.

POINTS REGARDING THE PROCESS OF DRAW OF LOTS:

  • Draw of lots for 43 seats out of 352 applicants with 45 points will take place on Wednesday, 01 March 2017 from 09.00 a.m. onwards in the school premises.

  • Draw of lots will be conducted only once.

  • The draw will be conducted for all eligible registered applicants with 45 points. Entry for the parents will begin at 08.15 a.m.

  • The draw will be conducted for all 352 eligible registered applicants irrespective of their physical presence or otherwise.

  • There is very limited parking space available near the school. Parents are requested to use public transport.

  • Only 1 parent is requested to attend.

  • Children are not allowed.

  • Parents are requested to bring the printout of Registration page for entry purpose on the day of the draw.

  • In the case of those applicants who had filled more than one registration form, the registration bearing the higher number has been considered for draw of lots and the lower registration number has been deleted from the list. This is to ensure that there is only one application for each candidate. In case, there is anyone who still has a duplicate registration, the applicant is requested to notify the same to the school representative at the time of marking their attendance at the respective table.

  • All applicants have been serially numbered from 1 to 352 as per registration number. For the purpose of convenience and economy of time, all applicants have been grouped as follows:

  • Parents are requested to get their attendance marked at the respective table and put their slip in the container placed at the table itself. The slip bearing the Registration Number, Name of the child & Father will be provided by the school.

  • At 09.30 a.m, all the slips from each of the 02 containers will be transferred to the common container by parent volunteers.

  • 100 slips will be drawn by volunteer parents and will be serially numbered. Out of these, first 43 slips will be considered for admission subject to verification of Documents and the next 57 slips in the serial order will be placed as waitlisted.

  • The result of the draw of lots will be displayed on the school website on Wednesday, 01 March 2017 by 04:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR APPLICANTS FOR VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS AFTER THE DRAW

  • The document verification process for the selected and waitlisted applicants after the draw will take place on Thursday, 02 March 2017 and Friday, 03 March 2017 from 08:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

  • Parents are requested to adhere to the time slot for verification process

  • Parents are required to bring the following documents (original and one set photo copy) to be produced for verification.

The following documents in original are required to be presented for verification along with a set of attested photo copies.

  • Original Birth Certificate of the child issued by Municipal Corporation or equivalent authority.

  • Some indicative documents which can be submitted as proof of residence (any two proofs of the following)

    1. Ration card issued in the name of Parents (Mother/Father having name of child)
    2. Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents
    3. Voter-I Card (EPIC) of any of the parent
    4. Latest Electricity bill/MTNL bill/Water bill/passport in the name of any of the parent or child.
    5. Aadhar card/UID card issued in the name of any of the parent.

  • Self Declaration of parents with regard to Girl Child or First Born child.
  • Medical fitness certificate of the child issued by a Medical Officer.
  • In case of sibling applicants, the school Identity Card /Fee Bill of the sibling studying in DPS Dwarka.
  • Copy of AISSCE (Class XII) Board Pass certificate/ Marks Statement of the parent(s) for claim under Alumni Category.
  • For claim under the Single Parent Category, please submitted the following documents:-
  • Widow/Widower: Valid/Legal proof (Death Certificate) and undertaking of present Single Status.

  • Legally Divorced: Divorce document/Decree along with proof of legal custody of child and undertaking of present Single Status.

Please Note that Self Attested photo copies of the above documents are to be submitted. No undertaking regarding the documents mentioned above and/or additional time for submission of documents will be accepted at the time of verification of documents.       

  • Not reporting for verification of documents on Thursday, 02 March 2017 and Friday,
    03 March 2017 from 08:30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
    will be treated as ‘unwillingness’ and the seat will be offered to the next eligible applicant.
  • The complete list of selected applicants for admission will be displayed on the School Website and Notice Board on Tuesday, 07March 2017 by 04:00 p.m.
